Created with embroiderer Stewart Francis Easton for Spitalfields Festival, and with support from The British Council, Conversations is a combined sound and photography installation. Echoing the rich textile and industrial heritage of the city, a photo of a street scene in Dhaka, Bangladesh has been interwoven with delicate electrical thread, tracing the power lines that hang like loose stitches, sewing together the fabric of the streets. Touching these conductive elements manipulates the soundscape of the street that I recorded on location, allowing audiences to enter into this conversation between two connected cultures.

Stewart Francis Easton is one of my core collaborators. We also collaborated on his pieces His Piety Knows No Bounds and The Next Verse. The three pieces were shown at the Tate Modern as part of Tate Lates in November 2016 with Hackoustic
